Christofle America Silver Plated Fish Fork
The silver plated fish fork in the América pattern can be used in conjunction with a fish knife to easily separate meat from fish bones. Following World War I, America became synonymous with modernity and the world fell in love with its music, literature, art, lifestyle and architecture. To commemorate the across-the-pond admiration, Christofle named this 1933-launched Art Deco pattern of angular corners, beveled edges and masculine lines after the country.
Created in 1933 & presented at the International Exposition of Arts & Techniques in 1937, the angular corners of this model are characteristic of the Art Deco style.
