The first CowParade® was held in Zurich in 1998, with the aim of show-casing local artistic talent and bringing some life to the streets of the city. CowParade® has brightened the streets of cities in every continent of the world, and the parade is continuing with new cities participating every year. CowParade has grown into the truly largest public art event in the world. To make their proposition commercially viable they select unique designs form the many thousands available and reproduce exact replica’s. Most of their figurines are hand painted.
